As a Berkeley Haas alum, I presented to the Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative (BERC) on the topic “Strategic Minerals for Clean Technology”. I covered copper, nickel, lithium, cobalt, rare earth elements and other strategic metals recovered as byproducts of base metals processing. These metals are key ingredients for electric vehicles and renewable power installations. I also spoke about the GHG intensity of metals production and ESG trends in mining.
